A USELESS OPEN LETTER TO DC COMICS

Dear DC Comics,

Hey there.  It’s Mike.  Remember me?  We used to hang out a lot?  I know we don’t  see each other as much as we used to and that’s as much me as it is you.

I know, that sounded bad, but it’s not.  I mean we still have Superman in common, right?  So what if I don’t read everything you put out anymore?  That doesn’t diminish my thumbs up for Superman: New Krypton Special.

See?

Here’s the thing though.  Your newish website is all kinds of keen.  I am not sure I like the interface, but hey what do I know about web design?  Anyhoo, the one aspect of the site that I check out every week without fail is the wallpapers section.  I dig the fact that you are doing this.  Sure it’s free advertising of sorts and sure some of the choices are a bit…eh but hey, you have a comic book company to run.  I understand this.  I sympathize.

But could you maybe do a wallpaper that is 1280 x 800?

I don’t think it is too much to ask.  I am guessing that you are trying to appeal to the more standard screen resolutions, but I have a rather nice laptop and the best screen resolution is the previously mentioned 1280 x 800.  It’s not a the biggest deal on the face of the planet, but I am getting a little weary with having to adjust the 1280 x 1024 to fit the screen.

So do you think you could do that?  Please?  For old times sake?

Thanks.

Other than that I hope everything is going well for you.  I hope one day we can be best friends forever again.  Say hi to the missus.

Regards,

Michael Bailey
