Welcome to the one hundred and ninety first episode of From Crisis to Crisis: A Superman Podcast! This podcast has a simple premise; examine just about every Superman comic published between Man of Steel #1 in 1986 to Adventures of Superman #649 in 2006 in an informative and hopefully entertaining format.
Part index. Part commentary. Part history lesson. All podcast.
Dead Again continues!
After discussing the fact that Mike finally got a copy of the Death and Return of Superman Omnibus Mike and Jeff begin their discussion of the Superman related books with a December 1994 cover date. They kick things off with Outsiders #13, which has pretty much the same story as the Action Comics issue they discussed in the previous issue and it could be argued that the boys spend way too much time talking about it. After the usual Superman Homepage ad is Superman: The Man of Steel #39 where we see a shocking development involving the body found in the tomb plus a major event in the life of Keith. Next is Superman #95 Superman and a surprise special guest head to New Genesis to check on Brainiac. Then the boys take a quick look at Superboy #10 and Guardians of Metropolis #2 before discussing the next two episodes of the second season of Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman (The Source and The Prankster). Finally Mike and Jeff hop into a cab, pay their $7.50 and head to the segment they like to call Meanwhile at the Daily Planet.
And just in case you wanted to see the covers to the other books we discussed during the course of this episode here they are.
