Episode 201: Superman #145

Welcome to the two hundred and first episode of From Silver to Bronze: A Superman Podcast!  This podcast has a simple premise; examine just about every Superman comic published between Action Comics #241 to Action Comics #396 in an informative and hopefully entertaining format.

Part index.  Part commentary.  Part history lesson.  All podcast.

This time out we are joined by Jon Wilson and Bob Fisher to discuss Superman #145.  Bob hosts the amazing Superman Forever Radio podcast and Jon has hosted a number of Superman related shows, including Golden Age Superman and the New 52 Adventures of Superman.  Together they host the Giant Superman Podcast and since they talk about Silver Age comics and we talk about Silver Age comics it seemed like a good idea to get us all together to talk about this issue.

There are three…count them THREE Superman stories to talk about this time out.  In Superman’s Secret Identity Jimmy Olsen gets a “great idea” on how to find out if Lois would blab Superman’s true identity if she knew it and a man is nearly killed in the process.  Then in The Interplanetary Circus an interplanetary cirus (imagine that) shows up in Metropolis and hilarity ensues.  Finally the guys talk about The Night of March 31st where all kinds of weird stuff happens for some unknown reason.

Thanks to Bob and Jon for coming out to play this time out.  Be sure to check out their shows because they are keen!

Next Time: More Silver Age fun with Superman’s Girlfriend Lois Lane #25!

Glad to see this site up and running still. Really getting back into Superman, so I’ll be stopping in.

Curious to hear your thoughts on the new BvS movie, since you seemed to like MOS so much.
