Below is the list of the new Superman comics I picked up this week.

  • Superman #17
  • Super Sons #1
  • Trinity #6
  • Justice League #15
  • Superman Action Comics Vol. 1: Path of Doom

Super Sons is finally here, which I am beyond excited for.  I wanted that book as soon as DC announced it.  Superman #17 had a really moody cover that I really like.  I picked up the Path of Doom trade because…well, that’s what I do.  I also picked up Superboy #148 to add to my Silver Age collection.  All in all it was a really good week as a Superman fan.  We got another new title (which we share with the Batman folks but I think there’s room at the table for everyone), another trade and the main books continue to be amazing.

I “picked up” a handful of digital books as well.  I bought a few more than usual this week because my tax return came in.

  • Action Comics (1991) #s 25, 26, 720-724 and 750
  • Adventures of Superman (1987) #s 534-537
  • Superman (1987) #s 111-114
  • Superman: The Man of Steel (1991) #s 55-59
  • Superman: The Man of Tomorrow (1995) #s 5 and 6

List of Books Released Digitally

In case you were interested in a complete list of Superman books now available over on Comixology…

  • Action Comics (1938) #s 25, 26, 749 and 750
  • Adventures of Superman (1987) #s 562 and 563
  • DC Comics Presents (1978) #s 53-55
  • Superman (1987) #s 139 and 140
  • Superman: The Man of Steel (1991) #s 83 and 84
  • Superman: The Man of Tomorrow (1995) #11
  • Superman and Batman vs. Aliens and Predator #s 1 and 2

Still no sign of the Superman Red/Superman Blue special, Superman Forever #1 and I am not seeing the Superman: Save The Planet special either.  This is a bit annoying.  If you are reading these books for the first time those specials are necessary to the ongoing Superman narrative.  DC and Comixology continue to leave money on the table.
