REIGN OF TOMORROW – SUPERBOY SOLICITATION

Here’s another fun little gem From The Files of Alan Leach, Jr.  This is the original Previews solicitation for the Superboy series that kicked off in 1993.

As always I thank Alan for sending this to me.  At some point I need to try to track down more of this sort of thing.

I loved the first few issues of that series. Kesel and Grummett were arguably in their prime and Superboy was right in their wheelhouse as far as creativity is concerned. I don’t think the series (or the character) ever really recovered from Kesel leaving the book.

Yeah. Marz didn’t do a terrible job with the title but I think the art wasn’t up to snuff and the book kind of wandered for a while there. Things got much better when Kesel and Grummett came back but that ended when they left again.
