Thanks for the heads up on that story, Bitter. I (Mike) was at a loss for what story that person was talking about.

And while we didn’t think a guest would slow these episodes down (though they would make them longer) Jeffrey and I just wanted to tackle this story on our own. The guests will come during the coverage of Reign of the Supermen.

Regarding the grand conspiracy theory about the Sand Superman, I think the issue he’s referring to where “doctors are baffled that Kryptonite doesn’t kill him” is a very, very butchered interpretation of the events of Superman 40, where the doctors use Kryptonite on the injured Superman so they can weaken him enough to treat his wounds.

Great episode all around guys. I’m glad that the Doomsday storyline has just been you two doing the coverage. The special guests are a nice change of pace, but I think a third voice would really slow down these episodes.

I appreciate Superman.nu’s love of the Man of Steel, but obviously, they didn’t read too much of the FC2C Era Superman, and only formulated their opinion on tidbits and imagery they probably found in a Yahoo or Webcrawler search (at the time).

The so-called “Iron Age” Superman is my Superman, and always will be. It was this era that made me fall in love with the character all over again, and makes me yearn for those days and sensibilities once again.

I tried reading one of the articles linked to for that Iron Age Superman thing and it hurt my brain at how much was just seemingly personal opinion stated as fact (at least that’s my opinion of it anyways). Only part of the way through the podcast at the minute but that website annoys me too now.

Great podcast covering some issues with some rather serious topics. I have to admit I’m getting restless for Doomsday, though.
