The Thrilling Adventures of Superman, Episode 60

The Thrilling Adventures of SupermanWelcome to episode 60 of The Thrilling Adventures of Superman. The show’s mission is to explore the history and development of the Superman in his formative years by chronicling the Man of Steel’s Golden Age adventures in comics, radio and film.

Professor Clarence Cobalt cooks up copious chicanery at his crooked clinic of quackery as Michael looks at the Superman story from ACTION COMICS #26. Superman makes a two-fold return to his social justice roots to deal with a pair of phony doctor — and prevent his victims from enacting their own brand of justice in this classic Golden Age tale.

Episode 030A — September 1940

Perry White joins the comic book cast in this episode’s coverage of Superman 7 which is full of Joe Shuster goodness!  First, Superman has to save an innocent man from being framed for murder by three kingpins of crime.  Then it’s off to Gay City for Clark to find out why men are exploding at the slightest touch, but Perry tells Lois to stay behind because Gay City is too dangerous for a woman.  And after cleaning up some local politics, Clark takes Lois out to dinner but they’re kidnapped and held for execution by the “Black Gang”.  Come give a listen!
