Episode 25- Whatever Happened to the man Who Has Everything

This week, the Superman tales written by British comic book legend Alan Moore.

From the cracked mirror look at the politics of Krypton in “For the Man Who Has Everything” to the tear-jerking epic finale of “Whatever Happened to the Man of Tomorrow” Alan Moore brings a pathos to the Man of Steel.

Also, news from the SFR Daily Planet- Tom Welling on Jimmy Kimmel, Bryan Singer on why Superman Returns failed, Bizarro to the rescue, and more.

Then, we return to the animated universe of the Man of Steel, as he takes on the menace of Metallo in “The Way of All Flesh” before wrapping it up with a production note.

Before we jump into any of that, though- We have a new General Zod, and I have some thoughts on him. Also, what is Henry Cavill doing to prepare for donning the blue tights, and what does he think of the script, and Amy Adams?

What does the son of Lex Luthor want with the Man of Steel? Who is the new female character that will have his attention? Find out when we talk about Superman: Requiem.

Then, it’s time. We talk about Dean Cain. From the heartbreak of a premature end to his sports career, to donning the cape.

We look back at Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman, and where Dean went after that.

Also, a look back at a classic episode of Lois and Clark- “Seasons Greedings” written by Dean Cain.

Then we wrap the week up by talking about Michael Shannon, and I give my thoughts on him, and the casting choice.

Just when you thought Superman Forever Radio was done for the week- BOOM we get a Major announcement in the Superman Universe.

Henry Cavill has been cast as Superman in the Zack Snyder Superman reboot, slated for 2012.

As soon as the news came out, I had to jump back on the microphone, and comment on this new development.

I cover the announcement, give some background on Cavill, talk about the fan reaction, and weigh in on what I think about the casting.

Episode 09- Siegel and Shuster Vs. The World pt. 3

This is it! The final episode of Superman Forever Radio… for 2010. But what a great way to send out the year. We finish up the “Up, Up and Away!” Storyline, plus- Superman and Batman explore gender issues in

Superman/Batman #27.

The tale of Siegel and Shuster comes to an end, with a dream realized and smashed. The men that gave us the world’s greatest hero, find themselves in poverty.

Is Javier Bardem Superman? No, but he was. See the video below.

Is Secret Origin the basis for the new Superman movie? David Goyer‘s words in the newest edition are analyzed.

DC Universe online gets a release date… again.
