One of the bits of business that DC sent to comic shops to promote Zero Hour was a black and white…you know…I really don’t know what to call it.  My first impulse is to call it a preview comic but I have seen it described as an ashcan and I am not sure I buy that.  An ashcan was a comic that publishers put together during the Golden Age solely for legal purposes and it was not intended for publication.  Usually it was something that was printed to cement a copyright of some sort.  This…whatever it is officially called…was distributed as an advertisement.
