FROM CRISIS TO CRISIS IS BACK WITH ANOTHER JAM-PACKED EPISODE OF AWESOME SUPERMAN GOODNESS!

This week Michael and Jeffrey start their look at the Superman books with the cover date September 1991. The episode kicks off with a discussion of War of the Gods (which both Jeff and Mike didn’t like at all) and then moves into what is the shortest synopsis and discussion in the history of the show. It seems that Mike and Jeff didn’t care for Superman: The Man of Steel #3 either. After that, though, the episode kicks into high gear as the boys dig into Superman #59. In that issue Superman and Lois head off to the mountains to have a little chat. Finally there is an e-mail that sparks a diatribe from Jeff and the Elsewhere, Elsewhere section.

After a week off because Mike was sick the boys are back with the first episode of 2011! In this exciting episode Jeff and Mike look at the back half of the Superman books with an August 1991 cover date. An old foe returns for the first time in  Adventures of Superman #481 while in Action Comics #668 Superman has to deal with all kinds of wacky theories about Lex Luthor’s death and Jeff has to deal with Mike’s impression of John Travolta. Finally the boys barely talk about Adventures of Superboy #19 before heading into Elsewhere in the DCU!

For those interested here is the cover to the issue of Adventures of Superboy discussed in this issue.

A new format and a new monthly Superman title kick off this week!

Mike and Jeff are back with the last episode of 2010 and even though they recorded this one on the day before Christmas Eve the Superman books they discuss have an August 1991 cover date. In Superman: The Man of Steel #2 we meet Sgt. Belcher and Rorc, two minions of Cerberus. They continue Cereberus’ attack on Lexcorp and threaten reign down destruction on the city if their demands are not met. Then, in Superman #58, Cadmus, through the Bloodhounds, capture Superman. It seems that the director of Cadmus believes Superman to be a threat and boy is Superman peeved about that. Finally in Flash #53 Superman and the Wally West Flash have to save Jimmy Olsen from a madman. Add to that Jeffrey’s elsewhere in the real world and you have a full episode of From Crisis to Crisis.

And now…the scans!
