Episode 108: August 1992 Part 2

Welcome to the one hundred and eighth episode of From Crisis to Crisis: A Superman Podcast!  This podcast has a simple premise; examine just about every Superman comic published between Man of Steel #1 in 1986 to Adventures of Superman #649 in 2006 in an informative and hopefully entertaining format.

Part index.  Part commentary.  Part history lesson.  All podcast.

Well, Superman goes to the Newstime Building, which has been overrun by demons sent by Blaze, so the above statement is somewhat accurate.

Anyway, Mike and Jeff are back this week to finish out the Superman books with an August 1992 cover date.  The Blaze/Satanus War begins in Adventures of Superman #493 as Sam Foswell starts his new job at Newstime and all H-E-Double-Hockey-Sticks breaks loose forcing Lord Satanus to make his first Post-Crisis appearance.  The war continues in Action Comics #680 where things heat up (pun intended) and Sam Foswell is drawn deeper into Blaze’s plan.  Then in Justice League America #65 (which has nothing to do with the Blaze/Satanus War) the Leaguers have their final showdown with Starbreaker.  Finally there are the ads and Elsewhere in the DCU.

Oh, and Mike’s dog makes a special appearance late in the episode.  That is the snoring you hear.
