Episode 81: September 1991 Part 1

Welcome to the eighty-first episode of From Crisis to Crisis: A Superman Podcast! This podcast has a simple premise; examine just about every Superman comic published between Man of Steel #1 in 1986 to Adventures of Superman #649 in 2006 in an informative and hopefully entertaining format.

Part index. Part commentary. Part history lesson. All podcast.

FROM CRISIS TO CRISIS IS BACK WITH ANOTHER JAM-PACKED EPISODE OF AWESOME SUPERMAN GOODNESS!

This week Michael and Jeffrey start their look at the Superman books with the cover date September 1991. The episode kicks off with a discussion of War of the Gods (which both Jeff and Mike didn’t like at all) and then moves into what is the shortest synopsis and discussion in the history of the show. It seems that Mike and Jeff didn’t care for Superman: The Man of Steel #3 either. After that, though, the episode kicks into high gear as the boys dig into Superman #59. In that issue Superman and Lois head off to the mountains to have a little chat. Finally there is an e-mail that sparks a diatribe from Jeff and the Elsewhere, Elsewhere section.

You can subscribe to the show in two ways. First there is the RSS Feed and there is also the iTunes link .

If you want to comment on the show or contact the hosts you can always private message Mike and Jeff, at the Superman Homepage, leave comments here or at the Homepage or here or email them by clicking this link.  All questions, concerns, fears, trepidations and cheap shots are welcome.

Seriously, let us know what you think.

Next week: September 1991 concludes with Adventures of Superman #482 (Superman vs. the Parasite: Round Two) and Action Comics #669 (The Kents meets the Lanes!)
