THE SUPERMAN AND LOIS TAPES EPISODE 23: THE ERADICATOR OR APPARENTLY HE CAN TOUCH THIS

Episode 23: The Eradicator or Apparently He Can Touch This

The BAM Crew (Bethany, Alison, and Michael) are reunited and it feels so good.  This time out they are discussing the penultimate season one episode of Superman and Lois, which was titled The Eradicator.  Bethany discusses the amount of screaming that happened while watching the episode and how it had a similar feel to another show.  Alison discusses the things she appreciates about Tyler Hoechlin’s take on Superman.  Michael actually has some nice things to say about Sam Lane, who did a lot right in this episode.

There isn’t any Professor Bailey’s Superman 101 lesson, but Bethany does reveal who had The Most Punchable Face.

It’s not John Henry.

There are also many references to late eighties hip hop.

The Superman and Lois Tapes can be found on both Apple Podcasts and Spotify. The show can be reached by email at thesupermanandloistapes@gmail.com.  You can also leave comments here or over at the Facebook page for the show, which you can get to by clicking this link.

The main theme for the show is “Heroes” by the awesome Mike Schmidt.  You can find his work over at Speed Force Music.

Next Time: The Crew discuss the Superman and Lois Season 1 Finale!

  1. The tension/anticipation leading to the season finale is certainly mounting for me. I know it’s going to be good, but I worry that there will be so much to sort out between it and the beginning of the next season. I’m really looking forward to seeing the episode and hearing your discussion of it.
On the topic of Michael’s “beating himself up” over not seeing things coming, as I mentioned in my feedback to Episode 20 on “Failsafe”, I don’t think he should be too down on himself. I think that it’s evidence of the quality of the writing on this show. I believe the writers are “playing fair” with the audience, dropping hints that people might “get”, but doing it in sublte ways rather than hanging a lantern on it. I, personally, like being surprised by these things, then realizing in retrospect that they were there all along, but just not spotlighted, and thinking, “Oh! Of course, Captain Luthor was John Henry Irons!”, or “Oh! I should have realized that Tal-Ro was going to become the Eradicator!” I really don’t enjoy an episode that I can predict all the plot twists before they actually happen. These writers are really good! I hope they can maintain the standard they’ve set as the series continues.

  2. Glad you guys realized the Apple podcast review from Spuperkara was in fact me (Kara Lovett). Also Mike you were on the money it is in fact pronounced Car-uh not Kehrra. Just remember I named myself after Kara on the supergirl show and that should help!
