Season 3 Episode 01 – Closer or Insert NIN Lyric Here
THE BAM CREW IS BACK, Y’ALL!
That’s right…Bethany, Alison, and Michael are back with a brand new episode talking about the first episode of the brand new season of Superman and Lois! Closer is a jam packed opening chapter to this new story and there is so much to unpack and The Crew does their best to do so. Is Lois pregnant? Is Lana dealing with something she doesn’t understand thanks to former Mayor Dean? Does Jordan need to slow his roll when it comes to using his powers? What forces might keep Jonathan from getting his driver’s license? Will the bad guys introduced actually end up being those villains in a few episodes? Is it hot in Smallville, which is making everyone so thirsy? Did Clark and Lois listen to Nine Inch Nails while at Tal’s villa? Most of those questions, and more, are asked and answered by The Crew!
Also, Bethany reveals who had The Most Punchable Face and Alison lets everyone know who was The Most Aestheticaly Pleasing people in the episode. Then, Michael delivers a Professor Bailey’s Superman 101 lesson plan on the three obscure Superman villains, all off the cuff! Finally, The Crew addresses all of your feedback!

Next Time: The Crew will be back to talk about the second episode of Superman and Lois Season Three titled Uncontrollable Forces!
Welcome back to my headphones, BAM Crew! It’s good to hear your voices again. Michael, I hope your thumb drive made it through the laundry cycle unharmed. I can’t tell you how many times I put my wife’s Fitbit through both the washer and dryer before I realized it, and it came though unharmed.
I have to say, my immediate thought when I saw the bald, bearded man when Superman when to Metropolis was, “Is that Luthor?” I hope so, but, as always, I’m willing to be surprised by the writers on this show. They don’t disappoint, especially when they do something I don’t expect.
I loved the “race to the Fortress” between Superman and Jordan. I’m looking forward to seeing more of Jordan’s training, particularly learning to control and fine tune things like heat vision and super-hearing. As far as super-strength goes, I’d like to see Superman show him how to use it in other than fight situations, like lifting heavy objects and moving them gently, so as not to damage them or endanger nearby people. I want him to teach Jordan to be responsible and safe with his powers. I also want someone (Clark, Lois, or even General Lane) to encourage him to get his driver’s license. A teenager who doesn’t drive, but shows up at a party in Metropolis might raise some difficult-to-answer questions at some point.
I agree with Bethany on “Most Punchable Face”, and Alison on “Most Aesthetically Pleasing”, and I thoroughly enjoyed Professor Bailey’s off-the-cuff Superman 101 lesson.
Thanks for a fun hour!
Well i just listened to the first 2 episodes and I’m greatly enjoying this season immensely. Loved hearing your guys takes on everything and I’ll say as soon as Bruno Manheim was mentioned I felt like Darkseid want far behind. I’ll echo everyone’s greetings that I don’t trust Dr. Irons. I’ll also admit that halfway they the second episode I was very mad at Lois. Anyways enjoyed listening to both episodes and looking forward to more
