I like DC Direct. I like Mego. I like the current wave of Mattel action figures. My absolute favorite DC line of toys EVER was the Super Powers collection.

They were really awesome toys. God I wish I had a complete set. I really do. For a kids line in the eighties they were really close to the comics.
And they didn’t have crappy shields, which was important.

i totally remember that one commerical with the batmobile. i had a friend that had that thing… i distinctly recall the little claws that come out the front to grab the bad guys. not such a great design, that, as it meant that you had to get right up behind the villain in a car, but then stop before running them over, while they stand still long enough for the claw to grab them.
