Episode 262- The Death of Superman 30th Anniversary Special
Welcome to the two hundredth and sixty-second episode of From Crisis to Crisis: A Superman Podcast! This podcast has a simple premise; examine just about every Superman comic published between Man of Steel #1 in 1986 to Adventures of Superman #649 in 2006 in an informative and hopefully entertaining format.
This time out Mike and Jeff take a quick pause before their coverage of Final Night to talk about The Death of Superman 30th Anniversary Special that DC released in November of 2022. As the name suggests, this special celebrates the fact that three decades ago a group of creators got together and started one of the greatest Superman stories ever told. Now those creators reunite to tell four new stories. Dan Jurgens. Brett Breeding. Roger Stern. Butch Guice. Jerry Ordway. Tom Grummett. Louise Simonson. Jon Bogdanove. All of them are back telling tales that are mostly set in and around Superman’s fight with Doomsday. The boys go over all four stories and talk about the writing, the art, and more.
Below are the various covers of this special.

And here are the pin-ups that Mike and Jeff talked about during the course of the episode.
